If you can label a perfume "elegant/classy," this would be it! Tocca's Eau de Parfum in Stella ($68 for 1.7 fl oz.) is feminine, chic, and gorgeous! Tocca describes the perfume as
"impetuous and moody as a rebellious young Italian beauty, Stella attracts your senses with blood orange and spicy lily. A flirtatious combination of white freesia, wild diamond orchids, sheer musk and sandalwood create a fresh, sensual fragrance." When I smell this perfume, I do get notes of blood orange, orchids, freesia, and sandalwood. I do not consider a "spicy lily" smell peeking out of this fragrance nor a musky tone. Very floral and girly, Stella gives a sweet smell that is not sugary. The packaging is beautiful. The classic "floral" smell of this perfume makes this scent perfect for Springtime 2011!
This scent is absolutely MOUTHWATERING! Kate Spade's Eau de Parfum in Twirl ($80 for 3.4 fl oz) contains "pink watermelon mingles with blackberry and red currant" and finished with "luminous musks and a touch of french macaroon."The fruity-ness of this perfume makes it a lovely choice for Spring. Twirl gives a refreshing twist to an everyday scent. You should go check this out! There are conveniently smaller sizes to help you save money! A rollerball ($18) and a 1.7 fl oz bottle ($65) is available. Personally, just spend an extra $15 for double the amount of product. It's worth it!! This perfume is lovely and I can't imagine anyone hating it.
Ok, this is totally not what I usually go for (celebrity perfumes in general), but Katy Perry's Purr ($65 for 3.4 oz, $45 for 1.7 oz) is pretty yummy! "Fresh citrus accord featuring peach nectar and forbidden apple with green bamboo" are the main components. "Supporting notes include a delicate bouquet of jasmine blossom, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose, balanced by vanilla orchid, white amber, creamy sandalwood and musk." I never thought I would like a celebrity perfume because of the general sugary scent that the majority of their perfumes have, but Katy Perry changed that! This one definitely stands out, just like Katy herself! There is a slight musky wooden smell to balance out the sweet in this perfume, which I adore. Packaging is cute, and I look forward to seeing Katy Perry's beauty ventures expand!

So glad that I stumbled across your blog on beautylist...we like the same perfumes! I love the Tocca-all of them but haven't been able to commit to just one (yet). Just tested Purr for the 2nd time. Trying to determine it's "staying power" what do you think?
ReplyDeletealso in your list of others....have you tried Chanel Coco mademoiselle? It's similiar to Miss Dior Cherrie (another favorite of mine) but with less Strawberry in it.
Great post!
Oh my gosh we are perfume twins! I have Chanel Coco Mademoiselle (which I adore), but I thought it was more of a wintery scent. For Purr, I haven't even thought about staying power. I will definitely check that out. Great idea!! Do you collect perfumes? What did you think of the other Tocca ones? Thanks for the feedback by the way and also for the follow! xo
